Connected by ideas. Inspired by people

About Bridge for Billions

Enablers of progress and agents for change. Bridge for Billions was founded on this simple statement in 2013 at Carnegie Mellon University. This statement is an idea to improve the world by focusing on empowerment; a vision for robust collaboration; a belief that if you contribute your skills and resources to empower others you will enable change.

Based on the their belief in the untapped potential of entrepreneurs around the globe, the founders began to brainstorm solutions. They sought to use their different expertise such as Innovation Management, Human-Computer Interaction, and Information and Communication Technology for Development, to create an intuitive, accessible, and interactive platform that would allow entrepreneurs to structure, develop, and refine their business ideas.

The development of Bridge for Billions was a collaborative effort that analyzed the cutting edge business development procedures around the world. After months of researching, interviewing, and co-creating with entrepreneurs, mentors, investors, and entrepreneurship experts, and a creative process that lasted many long nights, they developed the Business Creation Tools. After many rounds of user testing with entrepreneurs of various backgrounds and validation from expert institutions, both the user experience and content of the incubation platform have been refined to its current state.

Our Manifesto

Throughout the world there are millions of worthy entrepreneurs lacking skilled support, and just as many passionate individuals ready to share their knowledge and experience. Bridge for Billions connects those two groups. We match skilled Mentors looking for fulfilling projects with motivated Entrepreneurs looking to fulfill their dreams. Our all-in-one platform provides the tools necessary to structure, develop, and refine their businesses. As a social enterprise, we reinvest a majority of our profits to achieve sustainability, grow our reach and ensure the fulfillment of our mission.

INNOVATION CAN HAPPEN ANYWHERE

We are committed to the idea that innovation and entrepreneurship should have no borders. We believe that location should not play a role in limiting the ability of an entrepreneur to receive mentorship, support, or visibility. We provide a platform that allows entrepreneurs globally to grow their businesses as long as they have access to the internet.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP MADE ACCESSIBLE

We strive to make entrepreneurship accessible to all who are motivated and passionate about business. Lack of access to a traditional business program should not limit a person’s ability to develop a successful business. We are committed to the development and refinement of our methodology that helps entrepreneurs of all levels of education achieve their business goals.

BRIDGE FOR BILLIONS ACCESSES UNTAPPED POTENTIAL

Motivated entrepreneurs should not fail because of a lack of opportunity. We strive to tap into the potential that exists in thousands of entrepreneurs globally who are motivated, but are struggling to get their business off the ground. Our platform is dedicated to giving those who strive for success the tools necessary to achieve it.

ONE-TO-ONE LEARNING IS MOST EFFECTIVE

We are passionate about the exchanging of ideas. We believe that this exchange is how learning is made more effective. This is why we have developed the mentoring aspect of our platform. We believe that by connecting motivated entrepreneurs with passionate mentors both groups experience greater learning and growth.

LEARN BY DOING

We believe that the best way to learn is through action. Our mentors are matched up, and become involved in the process of launching a business. It is through this process that they further expand and refine their knowledge, which they continue to share through their mentorship.

GOOD MENTORSHIP IS UNLOCKING POTENTIAL

Mentorship provides a fresh look on an idea. We believe that it is this mentorship that helps develop strong businesses with the potential to succeed. We are committed to unlocking the potential within our motivated entrepreneurs through our mentorship program.

UNIQUE AND WORTHWHILE INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES

We strive to provide investors with worthwhile and transparent investment opportunities from our program that will provide a return on investment. We also believe that investing can be not only profitable, but also socially conscious. We provide our investors with opportunities to invest in a manner that will contribute to the greater welfare of society and generate sustainable change.

we'd love to hear from you!
